Carrier Transicold South is a growing Transport Refrigeration/Bus Air Conditioning Carrier Dealership with locations in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana and Tennessee. We currently have immediate openings for experienced Mechanics. The desired candidate should have a strong mechanical background with the Heavy Duty Truck Trailer business.
A big plus would be experience with Carrier or Thermo King Transport Refrigeration and Bus Air Conditioning equipment. Normal working hours are from 8 am to 5 pm Monday thru Friday. During the summer months there will be opportunities for overtime pay (time and a half). We provide productivity incentives for high producers and our pay scale is above average.
The desirable candidates will have above average mechanical and electrical abilities as well as training certifications in the Heavy Duty Truck Trailer repair business and/or the automotive repair business to support their skill level. Also, the mechanic must possess, provide and use basic hand and air tools to complete the desired repair tasks. The company provides service trucks, air and power generation for the more efficient repair times, advanced training and 608/609 certification testing.
Top pay technicians must exhibit monthly productivity of 100% or better and should have successfully attended Carrier Service Training School with score of 85% or better score. Must be able to correctly diagnose and repair all equipment, whether TK or CARRIER. Correctly fill out all paperwork; warranty, repair order, cash sales, cores, material return tags, etc. Correctly determine warranty coverage, codes, times and validation. Correctly collect monies billed out on jobs. Maintain a customer base, schedule own work load, handle road calls and be a team player. Requiring little to no supervision. Should be able to take night and weekend call out rotation with the rest of the team. Must be able to turn in paperwork daily. Virtually NO comebacks on repairs 10% or less per month. Has refrigeration universal 608/609 certification. Must be able to read, interrupt and follow refrigeration and electrical schematics.
